a-Admission to Class - VIII

Cadets are admitted to Class-VIII purely on merit, on the basis of their performance in the admission test and interview.

b-Eligibility

Candidates for admission to class VIII must have passed (or appeared or be appearing) class VII examination, from a recognized school, at the time of admission to the Cadet College.  

c-Procedure for Admission in Class VIII

Admission is open to candidates from all over Pakistan and abroad. The candidates are required to take a written test of Class VII standard in English, Urdu, Islamiat,  Maths, General Science and General Knowledge. This is followed by an Interview and Medical Examination. Selected candidates are admitted strictly on merit to fill the number of seats available each year.

  • Applications for admission are usually advertised in leading Daily Newspapers of the country, during the months of October and November  each year.
  • Written tests are usually held during December/January and are followed by interviews. 
  • Tests/ Interviews  are  held  at  Karachi, Multan,  Lahore,  Islamabad & Faisalabad
  • If good no. of applications are received from Quetta, Sukkur & Peshawer then the Entry test will be held in these cities as well.  
  • Admissions are made strictly on merit. Merely passing the test does not entitle a candidate to admission.
  • Full College fee is to be paid at the beginning of each academic year. 
  • The amount of fee can be revised by the Board of Governors of the College at any time without notice. 
  • The decision of the Admission Committee will be the final.

d-Admission Form

Admission form is given at the end of this prospectus. Please, detach and send the form duly filled, in the envelope provided for this purpose, to the Principal, by the due date, as advertised.

e-Age Limit

The age bracket for admission to class VIII is from 12 to 14 years. The date is reckoned from 01 April of the year of admission.

f-Migration

Migration cases shall be entertained from Cadet College to Cadet College on merit and as per the availability of seats.    

g-Admission to Class-XI

The promotion or continuance in Class-XI is not an automatic process. The class-X cadets, who wish to continue in the College, must have an excellent record in all fields to their credit. After declaration of the results of SSC part-II (Class-X) Examination, a cadet will not be allowed to continue in Class-XI if he fails to achieve at least grade “A”.  

  • Admission in Class-XI will purely be on merit.  
  • Remaining seats will be filled on Self Finance Basis.

h-Continuation to Class-XII

On the declaration of HSC-I Board results, a cadet may not be allowed to continue in class XII, If he fails in any subject of Class-XI.

  • Application Window: Forms are advertised in leading national newspapers each October–November.

  • Application Form: Detach from the prospectus or download from our website, fill in all fields, and mail it to the Principal by the published deadline.

  • Key Steps:

    1. Submit completed form + transcripts.

    2. Sit for the written Class VII–level entrance test (English, Urdu, Islamiat, Maths, General Science & GK).

    3. Attend a panel interview & medical exam.

  • Test Locations: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan & Faisalabad (with Quetta, Sukkur & Peshawar added if application volume is high).

  • Educational Requirement: Must have passed, appeared in, or be appearing for the Class VII exam at a recognized school.

  • Age Bracket: Candidates must be 12–14 years old as of April 1 of the admission year.

  • Nationality: Open to all Pakistan nationals and international applicants seeking a top Cadet College in Karachieducation.

  • Merit-Based Admission: Final selection is strictly on combined performance in:

    • Entrance Test (50%)

    • Interview & Medical (50%)

  • Seat Allocation: Fixed number of seats each year; merely passing the test does not guarantee admission.

  • Fee Payment: Full college fees for the academic year are due immediately upon acceptance. Fees may be revised without notice by the Board of Governors.

  • Transfers on Merit: Migration is considered only if seats are available.

  • Documentation: Submit a formal migration request, latest report card, and disciplinary records.

  • Approval Authority: Final decision rests with the Admission Committee and Board of Governors.

  • No Automatic Promotion: Class X cadets must earn at least a grade “A” in SSC Part II (Karachi Board).

  • Merit-Based Entry: Remaining seats—after internal promotions—are offered on a self-finance, open-merit basis to external candidates.

  • Key Requirements:

    • Excellent overall record (academics, discipline, co-curriculars).

    • Karachi Board SSC Part II result with ≥ “A” grade.

  • HSC-I Results: Cadets must pass all subjects in their First Year HSC (Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical) to advance.

  • Academic Standards: Failure in any subject disqualifies a cadet from continuing to Class XII.

  • Committee Review: Final promotion decisions are made by the Academic & Discipline Committee.
